Injections for tendons

In cases of tendinitis, an injection can be considered. Injection into a tendon sheath can be either a cortisone derivative or a hyaluronic acid which is a lubricant (like oil) for tendon movement. The most difficult complication of injection into the tendon is the rupture of the tendon. This is a very rare but present complication. Beyond this, injection into tendons should be done with skillful hands and with knowledge and recognition of the anatomy.
